The Pinoy Atheist in Multiply

I would just like to inform you guys that the meet-up last Sunday was a success! I would like to thank Miss Vera, Eric and his agnostic companion and our one and only LEE Chui for their presence.

Mr. Poch Suzara, Mr. James Litton , Mr. Bernardo and Mr. Lee (there also this other guy...It seems his name slip from my memory :( ) Well they were all present and gave us all a copy of The Atheist Manifesto.

It not a mere beso-beso, get together kind of stuff. Yep! Vera has her interview with Poch and Litton. We also talk about improving the Pinoy Atheist groups both in Friendster and Yahoo! We have to present a good product diba nga sabi ni M-Y. We talk about improving our posts in both group. Something that will attract readers...thinking readers. Not mere, senseless quibbles and rantings.

We like to focus on atheism and the Filipino society. Vera will concentrate on the effect of religion and the benefit on non-belief to women. I think she will fit with the subject since...well she's a woman.

I may concentrate on how we can reach the grass root level. I may also translate some of Dawkin's, Sam Harris' and other atheists books to "taglish". Others may follow.

The important is that we must show we are united in anyway we can. We don't have problems with books and research materials since this will be supplied by Poch and his Friends. I think Miss Vera AND the
rest of the people present in the meeting will be visiting McDonald's from time to time.

Vera is also sugesting that we conduct forums and symposiums in different colleges and universities in Metro Manila. Hmmmmmmm...I think this will be a very great project. I think Vera can do it, she has connections. If Vera will manage to pull this thing...well, wala na akong masasabi pag-dating sa powers nya.
