Though I still disagree with the prescription of atheism that there is no God because of my intellectual and personal path I chose. You see working from Thomas' five ways, which he had worked from Plato's idealism and Aristotle's naturalism, the probability of a mythological being that we will call God is very probable. Though I must abstain from the prescription of Pascal I must say I choose to believe.
But inducing that you have a stand on honest reason as a means of true dialouge among humanity I trust you won't shove athiesm down in anyones throat. Haha.
But I must say that the paper you choose (though I must say I am not fond of the format you chose because it is so small and hard to read) will be placed in good use especially against those 'witnesses' who claim to see Jehovah or the Mormons who I am suprised and amused that they speak Tagalog so well or the Iglesia and the Dating Daan people. Though I must make it clear they are not Christians in the strict sense of the word. Even a little study on the history and comparative religion will reveal the emptiness of these paths.
So I fully agree that thru human reason and never thru deceptions and propaganda or even revelations one cannot accept yet that we must share how we understand the world, whether theistic or a-theistic we must realize is really besides the point.
Atheism, as well as all religions, are not the only sweeping answer but only part of a larger human consiousness. So I must warn you as I always warn myself that intolerance of ideas and a sense of superiority will only hurt human brotherhood and maturiy of our universal consciousness. So I must express my concern that atheism is also in danger of being an ugly version of evangelical or islamic fundamentalism, so I think it is your ethical duty to maintain moderation in your side of the philosohical fence.
As a Catholic philosopher I always believe that conversion is done not thru rhetorics nor words but by actions and how that faith or even the lack of it, made you mature enough to see and treat other humans as humans.
Well whether you believe or not is besides the point. The real challenge God had placed on us is how we as men be truly be human.
Happy life.
